Tim’s practice explores the visual and textural qualities of the video medium. Through this exploration, he questions the aesthetic relationship between painting and video. For Tim, the moving image is not entirely related to narrative, but he sees it as a mark of moving colour over time akin to the gestural stroke recorded in paint. Tim’s is a practice that moves backwards and forwards in time, layering, repeating, and recycling, but always in relation to his own looking and feeling
